We got a hot one over here, not only is the band name and album name totally rad, but the duo that makes up the band is actually deserving of such radness, as they are the well known producer Diplo, and the lesser-known but equally great producer Switch, who’s done stuff for M.I.A. and Santigold, that make up Major Lazer.
And in Guns Don’t Kill People, Lazers Do you’ll hear those to create some fuckin’ cool sounds in this one, inviting many people to sing in their incredible reggae experiment, seriously, the guys they have singing on it are so damn good you won’t believe how amazing this record is, and what’s best, I knew none of them, and I love having unknowns blow my fuckin’ mind. However the stars are the two producers for a reason, since its them that provide the musical background for these vocalists to excel, and what a musical background it is, with air horns battling surf-rock guitars battling sounds from bongs, this is something else. Go buy this one, right now.
Grade: B+
